Navigate the challenges of neurodivergence with The Autism Resource Center. We collaborate with and support parents who are struggling at home with understanding their child’s unique learning needs. We walk with parents through what many see as a stressful time; helping to bridge the gaps between suspicion, diagnosis, and next steps.
We See the world differently.
You don’t need rose colored glasses to see hope and joy in difficult situations. Being a parent is challenging and beautiful at the same time. Every child is unique and requires individualized methods of parenting and education to meet their full potential. That’s where we shine.
At the Autism Resource Center, we empower families and children to experience life with calm confidence and joy.
From assessment to family training and collaborative solutions, we are here to support you and your family.
Services
Through diagnostic evaluation, ABA assessment, and guidance we help families and children develop skills, use appropriate tricks and tools, and establish an understanding to make solid decisions to support everyday living and decide how to move forward following a diagnosis.
Diagnostic Evaluations
When families suspect neurodivergence, a diagnostic evaluation can provide more information to rule in or out different conditions that may impact the child’s development. Our diagnostic evaluation process is primarily focused on characteristics of autism spectrum disorder, however we may be able to provide more insight and information on overall development and delays observed. Diagnostic evaluations are conducted in partnership with your child’s medical provider to include multiple sources of information in a comprehensive diagnostic process.
ABA Assessment
Starting with the foundation of an assessment establishes an understanding of where your child's strengths and skill levels range across several benchmarks, including behavior, communication, social and adaptive skills. This information provides the basis for where to begin, what goals to set, and what structures to put in place. Behavioral assessment and skills training is a highly effective intervention for a wide range of neurodivergent individuals!
Parent & Family Collaboration and Support
Children are wonderfully unique and those with autism and neurodivergence may require more individualized parenting and life skills training than others. Our family collaboration and support helps parents, children, and siblings feel supported and confident in every day communication and in the decisions they make. Parent and family collaboration and support is appropriate for families who have children with neurodivergence. This includes, but is not limited to autism, intellectual disabilities, ADD/ADHD, Down Syndrome, or general difficulties navigating their world.
Comprehensive Support
You’re on a long journey and we’re here to help. We have connections, partnerships, and relationships with medical providers, schools, clinics, and other organizations to ensure a whole child/family support and continuation of care and support.
Empowering neurodivergent minds, strengthening families and unlocking potential.
